The Board of School Trustees of Yorktown Community Schools will consider a recommendation to waive provisions of bylaw 0142.3, “Vacancies,” at its regular session on November 17, 2020, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Yorktown High School Auditorium. Due to her election to the Indiana House of Representatives, Mrs. Elizabeth Rowray has resigned her position as a member of the Board of School Trustees for her term, which ends on December 31, 2020. Mrs. Alison Tokar was elected to fill this position, effective January 1, 2021. The Board will consider a recommendation to appoint Mrs. Tokar to the remainder of Mrs. Rowray’s term without advertising for or taking applications for additional candidates for the vacant position as normally required by bylaw 0142.3.
